Optometrist
Dr. Nigenda Griffin was born in St. Kitts, West Indies and raised in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English, Language, and Literature from the University of Southern California. Following her graduation, she returned to her hometown to pursue a career as a high school teacher.
She later returned to school to become a doctor and graduated from Northeastern State University of Oklahoma College of Optometry in 2020. Dr. Griffin also completed a clinical externship with Eyecare Associates of South Tulsa where she was trained in ocular disease and refractive surgery co-management.
She will work primarily in our Lawton branch and provide pre- and post-operative cataract examinations, comprehensive medical eye exams, and treatment of ocular diseases.
She is a member of the National Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians. She currently lives in Moore, OK, and has a teenage son, Jordan.
